Exfoliate twice a week before you shave. Now, we know that “exfoliating” may seem like something your girlfriend should do along with her avocado face mask…but listen up! Men probably need to exfoliate more than women because your skin is exposed directly to the elements, shaving, etc. Exfoliating your skin keeps it refreshed by removing the dead skin on top, leaving your skin soft and toned. Now, the girls will like that.

At the downtown Spokane Weldon Barber we are really taking male grooming to a new level. We will soon open the Grooming Store and we just opened our first Weldon manicure and pedicure station.

Have you noticed the construction outside the downtown Spokane Weldon barber? Well, we aren’t adding a larger lounge with more flat screens (sorry guys!), but we are working to better your grooming experience in another way.
We’ve still got the flat screens (don’t worry), but our newest addition is The Grooming Store for Men. The Grooming Store for Men will be introduced to the public on July 17th at the official grand opening. It will basically become your go-to place for the highest quality grooming tools, products and accessories. A great upgrade from purchasing hair and skincare products at the grocery store, wouldn’t you say?
We will offer a wide variety of grooming products including Jack Black, The Art of Shaving, American Crew, Spa Siam and Aveda, as well as a host of tools to keep you looking sharp. You will get access to Weldon quality tools as well as products that are chemical free and friendly to planet earth. PRODUCT IS THE KEY TO FINISHING A GREAT STYLE –from the Weldon barbers on Spokane’s South Hill

After this past weekend at Hoopfest we’ve realized that you don’t have to be a guy to be a champion at Weldon. Our 6th grade girls team became bracket champions after a long two days of basketball. The team, Weldon Barber Two, came back and won the championship after falling to the consolation bracket early in the tournament. They actually won the championship by defeating the only team they had lost to earlier. Talk about determination! Their cheer was “Weldon, Weldon, Weldon Barber!”– truly a great cheer, we hope they keep on chanting this one well into their WNBA careers.
All four of our Weldon teams were spectacular. Congrats to all the hardworking players! Team Weldon Barber One: Brian Johnson, Nicklas Marshall, Shamus O’Doherty and Jordan Tampien. Weldon Barber Two: Shafali Byrd, Megan Dean, Megan Nilsson and Jenna Place. Weldon Barber Three: Janson Card, Matte Kondryszyn, Carson Schlect and Daniel Webb. Weldon Barber Four: John Bergeleen, Leon Dean, Stephen Sanchez and David Stratton.
We had a lot of fun this year and were thrilled to support such a great event. If you see any of our Weldon superstars out on the streets or possibly playing some ball, remember to congratulate them for such a great job on the courts!

Weldon Barber is hitting the courts this weekend for Hoopfest! We will be sponsoring two courts and four local teams for this year’s tournament. Our four Weldon Teams will be competing in different brackets with a young girl’s team, a young boy’s team, a high school aged boy’s team and one adult men’s team.
During the weekend’s festivities the downtown Spokane Weldon Barber will be transformed into the Weldon Barber Rejuvenation Center: a home base for the hardworking players packed with food and water. We’ll treat our players the very best, just like we treat our customers, though they might have to wait until the tournament ends for their hot towel shave and scalp massage. We will also have the Weldon girls outside cheering on the players while giving away $5 discounts cards and mini stressballs/basketballs.
Keep an eye out for the Weldon girls to get your discount (our logo will be on their shirts) and be sure to check back in with the Weldon blog to see how your favorite barbershop’s teams are fairing in the big tournament.

Looks like Weldon guys are in good company. Patrick Ianni, Seattle Sounder and member of the 2008 U.S. Olympic U-23 team, was in for a cut at the Kirkland Weldon just the other day. A Weldon Signature Haircut works for anyone–but sometimes it’s nice to know that the guys on our flat screens are coming in too.
